West Hull came away with the points following a comprehensive seven try win over Siddal. They were superbly led by scrum half Liam East who was the main provider for all their touchdowns. Jason Buttle opened the scoring with a powerful run out wide in the eighth minute.
On the half hour Stu Brentano crossed and Kirk Collins tagged on the extras and, in the next set, prop Chris Harrison barged over between the posts to give the home side a 14-0 half time lead. Four minutes into the second half Anthony Tognola finished off some excellent support play with Chris Whinn goaling. Brentano, Harrison and Buttle all added their second tries and in the last play of the game Russell scored a consolation four-pointer in the corner for the visitors. |
