The Jetstar Gold Coast Titans today joined forces with another of the region’s proud icons by announcing a new sponsorship agreement with the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
The exciting new partnership, over a three-year term, will see one of the most loved and established tourist attractions on the Gold Coast combine with the Jetstar Titans’ youthful and exciting brand.
Both organisations share a similar commitment towards providing entertainment and enjoyment for families on the Gold Coast and also promote the region to local, interstate and international markets.
“It’s exciting to be able to form an association with a highly regarded Gold Coast organisation which has a similar family focus and an emphasis on embracing the local community,’’ said Titans managing director Michael Searle.
“This, combined with our interests in eco tourism and environmental awareness through our Titans 4 Tomorrow program makes the partnership a great fit.’’
Part of the sponsorship agreement will see CWS have a significant presence at Jetstar Titans home games at Skilled Park throughout the season, an attraction which is sure to add more excitement to the Titans’ experience in 2009.
CWS chief executive officer Jonathan Fisher said the wildlife park was excited by the opportunity to work with the Jetstar Titans family.
“Both organisations stand for strong community values and involvement so we’re really excited to become sponsorship partners of the Jetstar Titans,’’ said Fisher.
“We also both have strong ties to future generations through support of groups such as the Currumbin Vikings Surf Life Saving Club and the students of Palm Beach Currumbin High School.’’
Titans star Anthony Laffranchi, who grew up on a farm in Murwillumbah, took centre stage at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary today in order to celebrate the occasion.
Laffranchi has volunteered to become the face of CWS’s Green Guardian Program, a conservational program designed to deliver tangible benefits and outcomes for native wildlife, supporters, the community and future generations.
Funds raised through the Green Guardian program directly benefit Australian wildlife, their welfare, protection and conservation through valuable research and veterinary services delivered by the Sanctuary.
“Being from a farm I’ve always had a soft spot for animals so it’s great to be involved with a program that aims to protect the future of Australian wildlife,’’ said Laffranchi.
“The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit organisation which does a lot of great things for the Gold Coast community.’’ |
