Sporting Life - Hooker or half-back Stevie Gibbons, 25, a founder member of Carlaw Crusaders who spent the 2008 season with London Skolars, has joined his international team-mate Wayne Kerr at Boundary Park on a one-year contract.
Roughyeds chief executive Chris Hamilton said: "Stevie is a player we were aware of prior to him going to Skolars. We talked to him a while ago at a time when he was hoping to come over to England to do a university course.
"He wasn't able to make the necessary arrangements at that stage, but everything is now fixed up for him to study at Leeds for a masters degree so all his plans have now come to fruition." |
