The Cabramatta International 9s enters its final day today with a star-studded Indigenous Invitational side and Fiji poised to battle it out for tournament honours. Former first grade stars David Peachey and Andrew Walker are expected to once again lead the way for the Indigenous side after dominant displays in yesterday’s matches.
Other features of today’s draw include a Cup quarter final clash between NSW Cup clubs Wests Magpies and Newtown Jets, and a matchup between Penrith Brothers and Balmain.
A focus from the NSWRL on player safety – including the use of mist-fans, immersion baths, a flexible draw and a sideline doctor – has so far resulted in zero heat-related injuries being recorded.
