After a successful season last year Kent Ravens rugby league, now based at in New Ash Green are hoping to improve on last years semi final position and great performances after their promotion to the conference.

2008 ended on a high for the Ravens, Manbir Mann got selected for the England Lionhearts while many players trialed for Harlequins and Celtic Crusaders including 2008 captain Aiden Oakley and Constantine Hatzidakis.

2009 Club captain Carl Morgan commented on a successful 2008 “to get to the semi finals, mounting a formidable home record and then the added achievement of getting players closer to the professional side of Rugby League just shows how far the club has come but the plan is to build on this for 2009 and go even further and everyone involved is biting at the bit to get the season started”
 
This season the club will feature for the first time an Academy side catering for 16 to 18 year olds to bridge the gap between juniors and senior and already the squad are showing a lot of potential and is hoping to challenge for silverware in their debut season.

 “We have a great bunch of players with loads of talent and I think we will do very well this season. Everything is in place to build on this squad and have continued success for years to come.” Sam Heard, Academy Team Captain.
