The Jetstar Gold Coast Titans have helped launch Audi’s sleek new compact SUV – the Q5 – to celebrate the extension of a sponsorship arrangement between the two parties.
Jetstar Titans co-captain Scott Prince and dual-international Mat Rogers received their first glimpse of the new Q5, less than 24 hours after the vehicles hit the streets of the Gold Coast.
The Q5, priced from $59,990, has officially been launched into the SUV market but manufacturers have labelled the vehicle like no other car in its class – combining space and comfort with the driving dynamics of a coupe.
The special unveiling of the Q5 came after Jetstar Titans managing director Michael Searle announced that James Frizelle’s Audi Centre Gold Coast would be extending their sponsorship with the club for a further three years.
The significant announcement acts a further coup for the Jetstar Titans, less than five days after renowned international sports brand adidas™ agreed to a four-year multi-million dollar deal with the club.
“James Frizelle’s Audi Centre Gold Coast have been terrific supporters of the Jetstar Titans since day one so I’m delighted to announce that they will be renewing their arrangement with the club from next season until the end of 2012,’’ said Mr Searle.
“Audi have been the Titans’ official motor vehicle provider over the past three years, affording many of our players the opportunity to drive one of the world’s leading prestige vehicles.
“James, Brett and Rebecca Frizelle are deeply committed to investing in and supporting the Gold Coast community. This same commitment has been shown to our club since day one.’’
Dealer Principal James Frizelle said the Audi Centre Gold Coast was excited to be continuing its association with the Jetstar Titans, adding that in tough economic times sport was a great avenue to fall back on to help lift people’s spirits.
“Our association with the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans has allowed us to broaden our reach and has been instrumental in Audi becoming the premium vehicle of choice for so many more people in the Gold Coast community,’’ said Mr Frizelle.
“We have chosen to once again align ourselves with the Gold Coast Titans because of the community spirit the team brings to the coast. James Frizelle’s is about family and about providing motoring solutions to the community.”
Contrary to premium vehicle market trends, Audi Australia’s vehicle sales grew by 5.4% in February 2009 – placing the company in the No.2 Premium manufacturer position. |
