For the first time, the Harvey Norman State of Origin Series will be launched outside of NSW and Queensland when Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium unveils a new look for sport’s most passionate rivalry.
The move to launch the series in Melbourne tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11, showcases the growing partnership between Rugby League and a city famous for staging world-class sporting events. Australian Rugby League Chief Executive, Mr Geoff Carr, will join NSW Aussie Blues coach Craig Bellamy, XXXX Queensland Maroons coach Mal Meninga, NSW Origin stars Ryan Hoffman, Anthony Quinn, Brett White and Steve Turner plus Maroons stars Billy Slater, Cam Smith, Greg Inglis and Dallas Johnson at the launch of the series’ stunning new advertising campaign. Queensland Origin legend Gorden Tallis will also be in attendance.
