With the opening of the NRL season for 2009, kickoff for the local Rugby League season is not too far away. After being unable to field a full complement of teams for the past two seasons, the Camden Haven Eagles are on track, and eagerly awaiting the commencement of play.

The weekend immediately following Easter heralds the beginning of the 2009 Group 3 campaign.

With solid numbers in senior and under 18’s grades The Eagles expect to be competitive. The 2006 premiership winning combination forms the nucleus for the first grade team, while a number of promising up and coming players are keen to perform.

The new committee has worked solidly since its election to ensure a serious return to competitive first division Rugby League.

Laurieton Oval will once more be the venue, and all supporters who have missed their football are urged to attend and give the teams their full support.
