By Scott Howlett - Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers, currently running third in the NSW Rugby League Cup, face Shellharbour Dragons at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday. The Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers welcomed back a number of key players in their 42-16 win over the North Sydney Bears at North Sydney last Saturday.
The Dragons kept their slim hope for a semi final spot by alive after their 24-22 victory over the Cronulla Sharks.
A Balmain Ryde-Eastwood win could see the side finish the round in second place, leapfrogging competition leaders Newtown Jets and Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs, who also meet on Saturday, at The Crest Stadium, Bass Hill.
The NSW Cup is the State's second-tier competition and clubs are run as direct feeders to premiership sides. |
